Backgrounds like life sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, B.Sc. Biotechnology,B.Sc. (Botany & Zoology) BAMS, BHMS, MBBS, BDS, BSC MLT, Nursing, pharmacy, B. TECH Biotechnology, Medical transcriptionist, Medical Biller etc. are given the higher priority.

However, with rigorous hardworking students from other background like Arts, commerce, Diploma etc. can also make a successful career in medical coding industry or if u have any experience on medical field, you are eligible to take an admission.
